Call Me! Application
Call Me! is an easy to use, personal automated calling application. It allows you to place automated calls to your phone at scheduled time.
You can use the Call Me! application to schedule wake up calls or go to bed reminders. You can also use the Call Me! application to find your cell phone when you forget where you left it. Once in a while, you may want to get out of a boring meeting. Call Me! application can help. Just schedule a call 10 minutes into the meeting. When your phone rings, you will decide if you want to stay in that meeting or get out politely.
I am sure you can find other situations that the Call Me! application can be useful. The basic features of the Call Me! application are:
You can use the Call Me! application to make an instant phone call to yourself.
You can use the Call Me! application to make an phone call to yourself at a specific time.
You can use the Call Me! application to make an phone call to yourself every day.
You can use the Call Me! application to make an phone call to yourself every week.
When setting up a phone call, you can enter the message as text. The Call Me! application will convert the text into voice when making the phone call.
To start using the Call Me! application you need an MyEzApp account and a U.S. phone number.
If you don't already have a MyEzApp account, please follow the Registration Tutorial to register an MyEzApp account.
If you don't already have a phone number setup for your account, please follow the Setup Phone Number Tutorial to set it up.
Once you have setup an MyEzApp account and phone number, you can install the Call Me! application.
To install the Call Me! application, simply go to the marketplace and click the 'Install' button for the Call Me! application. You will see the Call Me! application icon showing up in your homepage.
Click the icon will launch the Call Me! application. Below is a screenshot of the Call Me! application.
To make an instant call, you simply click the 'Call Now' button. The Call Me! application will make an automated call to your number with the message 'Hello'
If you want to specify a custom message instead of using the default 'Hello' message, you simply enter the desired text into the text box before clicking the 'Call Now' button. The Call Me! application will convert the text into voice message when placing the call.
There are two ways to schedule a call in the Call Me! application. The first and simpler way is to select how long in the future you want to be called, starting from the moment you schedule the call. For example, if you want to get a call in 20 minutes, you simply select 20 minutes from the drop down and click the Call Me button.
The first method is a short cut. It is faster and simpler. However, you cannot use this method to schedule a call more than 1 hour in the future. To setup a call at any time. You need to select the exact time using the calendar widget as shown below.
You can also use the Call Me! application to schedule recurring calls, such as daily call or weekly calls. To schedule a recurring call, you simply select the hour and minute when you want to be called and on which day of the week you want to be called.
If you check all the days, you will be called every day. If you only check one day, you will be called once a week. You can check any week day you want.
Scheduled calls or recurring calls will be displayed in the table below the action buttons. For each active scheduled call, there is a 'Cancel' link on the rightmost column of the table. Click on the link will cancel the call.

The Call Me! application is a simple application that makes automated calls to yourself. You have the complete source code in your hand. The main program is only around 200 lines of code. If you want to make changes to it to fit your need, you are very welcome.
